Baked Apples

Ingredients

  • 4 large red apples

  • 4 tablespoons of butter

  • 4 tablespoons of cinnamon

  • 4 tablespoons of sugar

  • 1 cup of apple juice or sugar water (or one cup water-1 tablespoon sugar)

 

Steps

  1. Wash apples and dry completely

  2. Use an apple core tool to remove core and seeds or a sharp knife

  3. With a peeler or knife remove 2 inches of skin around the top of the apples

  4. Place butter completely inside the core of the apple

  5. Dust cinnamon around the top of the apple

  6. Dust sugar around the top of the cinnamon

  7. In a roasting pan pour in the apple juice or sugar water

  8. Place the apples in the pan leaving space between each one

  9. Place apples in oven at 350 degrees

  10. Check after 30 mintues to see if they are brown and bubbly

  11. Remove and place each one in individual bowls

  12. Pour the remaining juice around the bottom of each apple

    (It can also be served with vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt)
